Derek leads Product Security at Notion, where his team works to make the secure path the easy one. That work currently includes building Enterprise Key Management (EKM) and securing Notion's agentic AI products.

He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2017 with a B.S.E. in Computer Science. In college, Derek was involved with Wharton Entrepreneurship, the Penn Tech Trek, PennApps, University Television, and the Bell Society.
